Believers Have the Holy Spirit and Have Been Given Power to Use the Authority Jesus Has Obtained


Jesus sits far above all principality and power and might and dominion and over every name that is named. Believers have been given the Holy Spirit and because of that we also have been charged with going out and telling the good news to others and we are equipped to do anything that Jesus has for us to do accessing the authority placed in us through Jesus.


Ephesians 1:20-21 KJV
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:


After Jesus rose from the dead he said the following:

Matthew 28:18-19 KJV 
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:17-18 KJV
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.


Jesus humbled Himself as a man even though He is God and has been exalted and given the name above every name that every knee will bow before the name of Jesus.

Philippians 2:3-11 KJV

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Why Are So Many Christians Double Minded?

The observation we see in the world is people that call themselves Christians are trapped in sin, confused about the gospel, and don't know what God's will for them is. The question is why are there so many double minded Christians who are unstable in all their ways? I believe the carnal mind is getting in the way.  Many are taught that after you are born again you no longer have a carnal mind because, "God doesn't make schizophrenics!" This being preached by a double minded preacher doesn't carry much weight. It seems there are many frustrated Christians that have given up and when they do that they fall deeper in the ditch. But God's word is true and if we do what He says there is a way out. When we think of our lives we often don't see things from the perspective of the truth we find in the bible. When we do that our definitions can be wrong and our actions based upon our realities can dictate our action, inaction and reactions. If you believe God's word to be true then you should agree with following statements.
