Why Going Into Your Secret Place Is So Critical In Our Life As A Believer In Jesus

We know that Jesus accomplished what He came to do in his earthly ministry 2000 years ago and that he said "It is finished."  What is it that is finished?  The work He came to do so that humankind could have the opportunity to be reconciled back to God.  So that we could then receive the free gift of the Holy Spirit and so that we can now be equipped to co-labor with Jesus on this earth. So now that Jesus has accomplished what He came to do it is time we do the things we can to grow in God's love and abide in Jesus so that we can be a light to the lost and even to confused double minded Christian believers.

There is much to do but we should first rest in Jesus and get to know the love of God and experience God's love in prayer in the secret place.  When we do that we can naturally bear fruit and show love to others and be a light to the world not as unbelievers do in their efforts but as God has us to do by abiding in Him. So our work is to rest in Him and the fruit will come.

On way to rest in Jesus is to go to our secret place regularly and get to know our heavenly Father.

Psalms 46:10 KJV
Be still and know that I am God

Isaiah 40:31 KJV
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalms 91:1 KJV
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

Jesus said:
Matthew 6:5-6 KJV
And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Jim Richards explains this important part of experiencing and hanging out with our heavenly Father.

Which Covenant Was Jesus Under Before Dying on the Cross?

The answer is the Old Covenant. Galatians 4:4 KJV But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Jesus was born under the law and was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. Matthew 15:24 KJV But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Because Jesus lived under the covenant of law, His words line up with that covenant as He spoke to the Jews. Under the old covenant the only blood ever shed for people was animal blood which had no power to forgive sins or perfect the believer before God. (Heb. 7:19; 9:9; 10:1-4; 11:40) Animal's blood could only cover/atone for sin until the Lamb of God would come and take away the sin of the world and remove it as far as the east is from the west and remember it no more. John 1:29 KJV The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. If you are a true believer the...

If It Is God's Will To Heal Then Why Did This Person Not Get Healed By Christian Number 1?

This article was taken from a post Steve Harmon made about two years ago which illustrates what most Christians pray and expect when they pray for healing.  And the result is nothing.  He explains why: When I was at this church, there was this lady who had a horrible migraine. It was so bad that she had to get injections to numb the pain. After church was over, she was leaving and a Christian prayed for her. I knew this lady was not going to get healed when this Christian prayed. The reason was because of this Christian’s faith, meaning, I knew how she believed overall. The Christian doesn’t believe it’s God’s will for all to be healed, only some. The Christian believes that God is in control of everything. Also, they’ve seen so much disappointment that their motivation is almost completely shot. The prayer that the Christian gives is more of a comfort prayer than anything. The Christian hugs and consoles the lady with the migraine, as if that is going to make the migrain...

Baptist Doctrine of Once Saved Always Saved Commentary Jim Richards

Attitude of Once Saved Always Saved Why is it so common for baptists to want to pick a fight with everyone in hopes to defend their belief in once saved always saved? It seems ironic to me that a fellow believer would need to have a doctrine to help them believe they are saved when there is scripture that says that the Spirit of God confirms with us that we belong to God.  A lack of confidence indicates a lack of faith and salvation is obtained by grace through faith.  Without faith it is impossible to please God.  Without faith you cannot participate in the promises of God for anything.
