Healing The Sick

Do you believe the bible is literally true?  I do so when I read Mark 16 for the first time I was kind of thinking, well what does all that mean for me?  I did not know so I just kept reading and did not think too much more about it.

Let's see what Jesus said and then ask some questions:

Mark 16:15-18 KJV
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

So questions and my answers about almost three years ago concerning the above verses were the following:

Do I believe this is the true word of God?  Yes
Am I a believer? Yes
If I am a believer then why do none of these signs follow me? Not sure
How can I figure out if these signs that follow believers are still in play for today?  Try and lay hands on someone and see if God heals them

Long story short is God lead me to have an interest in praying for people for healing.  I asked God to make a situation with a stranger that I could pray for and for certain know that they were injured and then healed on the spot.  Two days after that prayer God made that situation evident for me.  I prayed for a guy I did not know that was walking on a cane and after a few short commands for his ankle to be healed it was.  He walked away carrying the cane he had been limping with.  No limp and he was a happy man and it turns out he was already a believer in Jesus.

If you are interested in praying for people in Jesus name to see healing pray for God to help you understand how you should go about doing that.  One thing I find is very helpful when approaching strangers is to say to them something like, "I pray for people and God heals them.  I believe if I pray for you God will heal you now.  Can I pray for you?"  This is putting it all out there and activating both your faith and theirs.  Usually people say yes and usually they are healed.

Which Covenant Was Jesus Under Before Dying on the Cross?

The answer is the Old Covenant. Galatians 4:4 KJV But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Jesus was born under the law and was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel. Matthew 15:24 KJV But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Because Jesus lived under the covenant of law, His words line up with that covenant as He spoke to the Jews. Under the old covenant the only blood ever shed for people was animal blood which had no power to forgive sins or perfect the believer before God. (Heb. 7:19; 9:9; 10:1-4; 11:40) Animal's blood could only cover/atone for sin until the Lamb of God would come and take away the sin of the world and remove it as far as the east is from the west and remember it no more. John 1:29 KJV The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. If you are a true believer the

Believers Have the Holy Spirit and Have Been Given Power to Use the Authority Jesus Has Obtained

Jesus sits far above all principality and power and might and dominion and over every name that is named. Believers have been given the Holy Spirit and because of that we also have been charged with going out and telling the good news to others and we are equipped to do anything that Jesus has for us to do accessing the authority placed in us through Jesus. Ephesians 1:20-21 KJV Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: After Jesus rose from the dead he said the following: Matthew 28:18-19 KJV  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things

Believer You Are Righteous! White As Snow

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ you have peace with God having been reconciled with God and you have the Holy Spirit of God living in you to teach you and to comfort you and to lead you.  You are righteous in Jesus because of what He did on Calvary by the shedding of His blood.  You are forgiven of all your sin and have been translated from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light. Believe it. 1 John 1:7   KJV But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. So what cleanses us from all our sin?  The blood of Jesus Christ.  And Jesus actually became sin even though he knew no sin so that we could be made righteous.  If Jesus made you righteous then you are righteous.  To disagree with that is disagreeing with what God has done.  It is not humble to say that you are not righteous, rather it is the height of pride.  Ironic isn't it? 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV Fo
