Believe a Lie and You Become a Bond Servant To That Lie

2 Peter 2:19 KJV While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

Believers Have the Holy Spirit and Have Been Given Power to Use the Authority Jesus Has Obtained

Jesus sits far above all principality and power and might and dominion and over every name that is named. Believers have been given the Holy Spirit and because of that we also have been charged with going out and telling the good news to others and we are equipped to do anything that Jesus has for us to do accessing the authority placed in us through Jesus. Ephesians 1:20-21 KJV Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: After Jesus rose from the dead he said the following: Matthew 28:18-19 KJV  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe a...

Why Are So Many Christians Double Minded?

The observation we see in the world is people that call themselves Christians are trapped in sin, confused about the gospel, and don't know what God's will for them is. The question is why are there so many double minded Christians who are unstable in all their ways? I believe the carnal mind is getting in the way.  Many are taught that after you are born again you no longer have a carnal mind because, "God doesn't make schizophrenics!" This being preached by a double minded preacher doesn't carry much weight. It seems there are many frustrated Christians that have given up and when they do that they fall deeper in the ditch. But God's word is true and if we do what He says there is a way out. Submitting to God's Righteousness Truths: -Yielding to lawlessness leads to more lawlessness. -Submitting to righteousness leads more righteousness which leads to holiness. -The carnal mind is enmity with God. Even though we will never be perfect...

The Ways of Man That Seem Right: Twisting Scripture to Fit Man's Doctrine

1 John 1:9 KJV  I see deception in the translation of 1 John 1:9 verse similarly to that of Hebrews 10:25 KJV. The meaning that people come up with is often viewed as godly and seems right.  But  assigning a godly meaning to a bible verse doesn't make that explanation true.  Example:  (Hebrews 10:25 our need to "go to church" and 1 John 1:9 some flavor of asking God for forgiveness and some would say our not needing to ask God for foregiveness) So these explanations become part of a doctrine which props up man's needs for the church building and that building's organization. Example:  (Hebrews 10:25 used to guilt people into coming to that specific church building every Sunday AND 1 John 1:9 telling people either they never need to confess sin OR that they have to specifically track each sin and confess each one). A double minded man is unstable in ALL his ways.  Why is truth so important?  Believing a lie causes a supernatural sp...

Email From Jim Richards Detailing Error With Hyper Grace Only Teachings and Teachers

NOTE: I cut and pasted this from a group email I received.  I did not ask permission, but I doubt brother Jim Richards will mind.  His thoughts below: I am constantly amazed by people who think they can live any way they choose and life is still supposed to be great because they are a Christian! Pop theology would say, “God loves you unconditionally so how you live doesn’t matter.” I guess it’s an issue of defining unconditional love. Based on a flawed, humanistic definition, they take a quantum leap into humanistic philosophy, redefining unconditional love as unconditional approval and unconditional love as unconditional promises… I could go on but I’m sure you get the picture! Just recently I was talking to a friend who has chosen a lifestyle that is clearly identified as sinful, i.e. destructive! His logic is that since God loves me, He wants me to be happy. Since this makes me happy God would never tell me I can’t have this! That’s like a child saying, “I love the tas...
