I'm Right, You Are Stupid: How to Help Confused Believers

Often we arrive at a deeper understanding concerning the truth in Jesus. Or we have a revelation that something we believed in the past was not biblical but rather a doctrine of man.  The first thing I tend to want to do is tell people about this new understanding.

This kind of information from God is not always easy to share with other believers for many reasons. In many cases there will be believers that are believing something that seems right but is contradictory to the Word of God.  To help us in these situations meditate on these verses and ask God to give you wisdom on how we should go about sharing truth with confused believers.

James 3:13-18 KJV

Jas 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Jas 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
Jas 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
Jas 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Jas 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Jas 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Wisdom, Correction, Obedience, Growing in Jesus Christ

Proverbs 3:11 KJV My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: Proverbs 15:9-11 KJV The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? Proverbs 23:12-13 KJV Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Proverbs 11:24-25 KJV There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. Proverbs 21:13 KJV Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard. Psalms 37...

Marriage: A Biblical Perspective

When we think of our lives we often don't see things from the perspective of the truth we find in the bible. When we do that our definitions can be wrong and our actions based upon our realities can dictate our action, inaction and reactions. If you believe God's word to be true then you should agree with following statements. If you do not agree then you will have a different perspective of how you should live life as a human and as a spouse. Many people that name the name of Jesus Christ as Lord do not understand some simple facts and if any of these points you are confused then go to the Word of God and dig deeper.  Ask God for wisdom from Him knowing that you know He knows all and you do not. 1. God created us in His image and likeness.  That is pretty awesome. Genesis 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 2. God gave a commandment to Adam before Adam had Eve as his wife: Genesis 2:...

Does a Christian Need to Daily Ask God for Forgiveness?

In my estimation it seems that most Christians believe that all our sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus. There is also a contrary teaching prevalent within most denominations that we must daily go to God to ask for forgiveness of our sins in order to be forgiven and be "right with God" by using one scripture (1 John 1:9). Do you see a conflict with these two beliefs? If you believe that you are not right with God unless you are confessed up then you must also make certain that you do not forget to ask forgiveness of every sin you commit.  So then comes the question you must ask is: What is sin?   Anything not of faith is sin. Romans 14:23 KJV And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. So then the good news is no longer so good because  you need to work very hard to keep up with all your sins in order that you can confess them and ask for forgiveness (even though you also believe that you...
